  • Langley Colts End-of-Season Presentation and Fun Day

    A Heartfelt Thank You

As the football season draws to a close, we are delighted to look back on the highlights and celebrate the achievements of our players, coaches, and supporters. Our End of Season Presentation and Fun Day was a resounding success, filled with laughter, fun, and a few well-aimed sponges!

First and foremost, a massive thank you to Harlow Rugby Club for providing such a splendid venue. Your hospitality and fantastic facilities made the day run smoothly and ensured everyone had a brilliant time. From the spacious grounds to the top-notch service, you truly went above and beyond.

To the club’s parents and friends, we extend our deepest gratitude for your unwavering support throughout the season and especially during our raffle. Your generosity helped make the day even more special with prizes that brought smiles to many faces.

Now, let’s talk about the coaches. These dedicated individuals not only organised and ran the event but also found themselves in the stocks, bravely enduring a barrage of wet sponges from enthusiastic kids and players. A special shout-out to Coach Kevin, who probably won’t dry off until next season! The sight of our usually stern-faced coaches getting soaked was a highlight for many and added to the joyful atmosphere.

A special shout must go to our treasurer, Lee Burnham, without whom this day would not happen. Every year, we are treated to a true display of what Langley Colts is all about Football, Fun, and Community.

A massive thank you to Create Identitee, who provided all of the wonderful Trophies enjoyed by each of our players from the development through to U18.

The inflatable games and activities were a hit with the children and players alike. Bouncy castles, obstacle courses, and giant slides had everyone laughing and enjoying themselves. Seeing the camaraderie and community spirit in full swing was wonderful, with friendly competition and shared enjoyment at every turn.

Looking ahead, our club is excited to grow and improve. We are currently on the lookout for new coaches to take on teams for the upcoming school year 2 and 3 (U8) and reception and year 1 (U6/7). If you have a passion for football and a desire to inspire the next generation, we would love to hear from you. No prior coaching experience is necessary—just a love for the game and a willingness to get involved.

To everyone involved—the the tireless coaches, supportive parents, Harlow Rugby Club team and spirited players—thank you for making this day unforgettable. Your efforts and enthusiasm have not only made this event a success but also strengthened the bonds within our football family.

Here’s to a fantastic season past and many more to come. We’ll see you all on the pitch again soon, hopefully with fewer sponges and just as much fun!

Thank you all, and have a great summer!
